THE RELATIONSHIP GYM / 03
I can’t lift the weights for you.
But I’ll make sure your form is correct.
You can handle a difficult meeting. One request at home, and suddenly you’re preparing a defence.
You’re doing all this for your family. Yet you feel like an outsider in it, and no matter how much you do, it’s never enough.
Bring that moment to the Gym. Practise how you want to respond, with Anna and a group doing the work alongside you.
Knowing better is the beginning. Doing it under pressure takes practice.
Frank has heard the advice. Listen. Be present. Don’t take it personally. Sensible instructions, until he’s in the conversation that matters.
The Gym is where you bring your own situations, understand the pattern and practise another way through. Your partner does not have to join for you to start working on how you show up.
The Man. The Math. The Muscle.
The Man
One Decision: who do you choose to be in this relationship? Start with the part you can influence, without making yourself responsible for another person’s every feeling or choice.
The Math
Nine relationship ratios, grouped under Container, Curiosity and Challenge. A way to notice where steadiness, discovery, play, individuality or willingness to grow may be missing.
The Muscle
The Pause gives you room between the feeling and the familiar reaction. Practise listening, asking, receiving and repairing in situations from your own life.

Bring your own situations. Practise another response with Anna and the group, then take it into your life.
Explore your twelve-week journey. Open any week to see what you’ll practise.
Week 1 · Meet the man who shows up under pressure.
Start with your Lumina Spark personality portrait. Bring a real moment and explore the strengths you reach easily, and what changes when you’re overextended.
Week 2 · You cannot change a reflection by lecturing the mirror.
Separate what happened from the story you heard. Choose who you want to be in that moment, then take one action that makes it visible.
Week 3 · Catch the sentence before it becomes the evening.
Notice your first cue and practise making room for another response. Take home a Pause you have actually practised, with a way to ask for space and return.
Week 4 · Hear the request without putting your whole identity on trial.
Practise asking what the other person wants you to understand before preparing your case. You can listen, tell the truth and keep a boundary in the same conversation.
Week 5 · Give love something besides the logistics.
Explore Structure: Flow. Rehearse a clear agreement or loosen your grip on a detail, making room for steadiness, freedom or flirtation where your relationship needs it.
Week 6 · Let someone be there for you.
With Vulnerability: Resourcefulness, practise making one honest, specific request. Then receive a compliment or an appropriate kindness without immediately paying it back.
Week 7 · See the person you stopped noticing.
Use Admiration: Taking for Granted to look again. Take one true appreciation into your life without attaching a request to the compliment.
Week 8 · Leave room to be surprised.
Ask a question you genuinely do not know the answer to. Explore Mystery: Familiarity and Me: We, including whether you need more shared time or more room for a life of your own.
Week 9 · A date can contain something besides feedback.
With Play: Pressure, make room for something you genuinely enjoy. Give problems their own time. Enjoyment belongs in the relationship before every problem is solved.
Week 10 · Say the thing while it is still a small thing.
Bring a manageable difference into rehearsal. Use Challenge: Comfort and the four workout questions to find what matters, ask clearly and leave room for the answer.
Week 11 · An apology someone can experience.
Work with Rupture: Repair. Practise owning your part, hearing the impact and choosing an action that makes the apology real. Their readiness remains theirs.
Week 12 · Take your new form home.
Return to the kind of moment you brought in Week 1. Notice what you can do differently, what remains difficult and what your next workout needs.
Talk with Anna.
Bring the situation you want to be different. Talk with Anna about the Gym and whether it’s the right place for you to practise.
A few things you may be wondering
Does my partner need to come?
No. This is relationship performance coaching for the individual. You can start with your own choices and responses.
Will this make my partner change?
The work develops your capacity and how you relate. It does not promise control over your partner or guarantee that someone will stay.
What does on-demand support mean?
Support alongside the programme. Discuss how access and responses work with Anna before joining; it is not a promise of instant or round-the-clock availability.
Is this Gym only for men?
Imagine a gym built for men, where women are more than welcome. That’s us. I’ve always preferred men’s circles or mixed circles. Women’s circles aren’t my vibe.
Where do I start?
